About RealTime Node in Production Cluster Configuration

According to quickstart document(http://druid.io/docs/latest/tutorials/quickstart.html),
Druid project is composed 5 modules ( historical, overlord, broker, middle-manager, coordinator ).

But production cluster configuration document (http://druid.io/docs/latest/configuration/production-cluster.html) says about realtime node.

I think realtime node’s roll is same to roll of middle-manager and peons.

Is it right? Is there another realtime node?

If it’s right, document should be modified.

Hey Hwansung,

Yes, you’re right – most people don’t need both realtime nodes and middleManager/peons. There are two different ways of doing the same thing (see http://druid.io/docs/latest/ingestion/stream-ingestion.html). middleManager/peons are newer and where most of the development effort is going these days.
