Active-Active setup for Druid Metadata storage

Hi,

We are planning to set up an active-active setup of a druid cluster in a production on-premise environment. currently, we use derby as the metadata storage. since it’s not recommended for production use.

what are other options available to make active-active setup so that the metadata can be shared between the clusters in different datacentres?

I understand from the druid documentation that we can use Mysql & PostgreSQL instead of derby in production. Is anyone used these Db’s in an active-active setup? any documentation of help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Vijay

Hi Vijay,

Metadata store is an external dependency for Druid. Just setup active-active cluster of Mysql like you would normally, when using Mysql as a database and that should be sufficient.
