can't find datasource in coordinator console

Hi,

I was able to see the datasource in the coordinator console before, but with recent start I am not able to view the data source.

I have attached the screenshot too.

In old coordinator console, also I am not able to find it.

However when query with

http://XX.XX.XX.XX:XXXX/druid/coordinator/v1/datasources

It returning the list of all data sources.

Also can you please confirm , is there any sequence to start the services.

As of now I am starting like zookeeper - > broker -> historical -> coordinator - > overord.

Thanks,
Aman

Hey Aman,

The coordinator has a startup delay configured by the property druid.coordinator.startDelay (see http://druid.io/docs/latest/configuration/coordinator.html). By default, the coordinator will not start managing segments until 5 minutes after it’s started and will not display your datasources immediately.

Historical nodes maintain a cache of previously served segments and when restarted will reload these segments from the cache even before the coordinator kicks in. This is what you’re seeing at the /druid/coordinator/v1/datasources endpoint and where the discrepancy is coming from.

Hey David,
Is there any other possibility of this happening, I’ve tried waiting for some time(definitely more than the start-up time of 5M). Its been some time that Aman has posted this, maybe you’ve faced similar problems!

Thanks

Surendra, are you sure your segments are being handed off to historicals?

Yes, I was able to query the broker using postman, but after a reset of all servers all data was gone. I’m getting empty responses after a restart.

Hi Aman,
which metadata storage are you using ?

do you see the segments present in the metadata storage ?

Do you see any exceptions in coordinator logs while polling segments from metadata storage ?
