Compaction task error when posting it

I’m trying to run compaction task in druid.
I followed the instructions both of those links:

I’m running the quick start of imply2.3.6 with Kafka indexing service.
trying to send the following compaction configuration:

“type”: “compact”,

“dataSource”: “my-data-source”,

“interval”: “2019-05-16/2019-05-17”,

“targetCompactionSizeBytes”: 536870912000

with this command:

curl -X POST -H ‘Content-Type: application/json’ -d @compact.json http://localhost:8090/druid/indexer/v1/task

and I get the following error:
{“error”:“Could not resolve type id ‘compact’ into a subtype of [simple type, class io.druid.indexing.common.task.Task]\n at [Source: HttpInputOverHTTP@4f637cc4[c=135,q=1,[0]=EOF,s=STREAM]; line: 1, column: 4]”}

what am I doing wrong?

The compaction task is supported since Druid 0.12.0 (which is Imply 2.5).

Please try with the latest version.

I launch imply 2.9.6 and sent the compaction task on the 20/5/2019
Now the task is waiting for a Lock, what does it mean?
Another thing it tells the task created in 1970, why?
picture attached

it means that another task of same or higher priority is running for the same dataSource and same interval.

The compaction task will start once the existing task is finished.

Please for for details.

The “1970-01-01” queueInsertionTime means N/A which in turn means it’s not queued for task assignment yet.
