Data in local storage are being dropped.

I have setup all the nodes of druid on a single ubuntu VM machine and I’m using local file system for deep storage. I can see that the data from the time of ingestion to a certain time period disappearing in my local storage. I would like to know if there is any default time period value set in druid for the data to be persisted in the deep storage. I read druid docs, but couldn’t find any information about it. Your inputs on this issue will be really helpful.

Adding to this.
Just figured out that once my VM is turned off, the previous data in local storage are being deleted. But, this shouldn’t be the case.

Hi Poornima, by default, Druid is storing segments in /tmp for local storage. This will get wiped if you restart your computer. The default directory for local storage is meant for very simple POCs.
