datasource dimensions

Hi Everyone,

I’m trying to use facetjs with druid 0.7.3 ( http://static.druid.io/artifacts/releases/druid-0.7.3-bin.tar.gz ) but it seems like the datasource endpoint is not working properly

I had a sample running with the wikipedia datasource, http://myhost:8082/druid/v2/datasources gives [“wikipedia”]

but when facetjs try to get this uri http://myhost:8082/druid/v2/datasources/wikipedia I get an empty list of dimensions and metrics {“dimensions”:,“metrics”:}

I don’t know if this endpoint was removed or if it is still valid and for some reason is not showing the dimensions in my datasource. that makes facetjs fail.

is there a new way to discover the dimensions in a data source ?

druid answer correctly the time boundary query and also time series queries to the same datasource.

Thanks in advance, any help will be appreciated.

I keep looking and found this post

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/druid-development/NPZswRlalEc/vW-KL9XLuqYJ

I added ?interval=0/3000 to my query and now I’m able to see the metrics, but still the dimensions are missing, I believe it has something to do with the time range populated, I had information from two months ago in my data set,

so I will keep trying to verify if the segments are loaded

Hi Rudy, that endpoint should show the dimensions and metrics for segments on historical nodes. Have your segments handed off?

Thanks for the help, I see the dimensions now, I open the cluster info page, and I see that the segments don’t show dimensions when they are still on the realtime node, I adjusted the window period and when the segment was moved to the historical node the dimensions started showing.

Thanks!
