deep storage in local mode

As doc said, druid support local mode deep storage, such as mount ceph fs. I want to know compared with hadoop, what’s the difference between using ceph.

If there were any suggestions?

Deep storage only acts as a permanent backup in Druid and is not used in the query path. So, the performance of deep storage will only affects segment publishing and load times and NOT druid query times. I am not very familiar with Ceph, so cannot comment much on performance of Ceph vs HDFS as a File System,

FWIW, most of existing production druid deployments use HDFS/S3 as deep storage.
