Druid 0.9.2 submit SQL query Error

Dear all,

  • I’m deploy druid 0.9.2 with hdp 2.6

  • If i submit native query, everything is okie:

  • But when i submit SQL Query, it return error:

[druid@dev-bigdata02 quickstart]$ curl -XPOST -H’Content-Type: application/json’ -d @query.json http://10.33.66.225:8888/druid/v2/sql/

{“error”:“Unexpected token (END_OBJECT), expected FIELD_NAME: missing property ‘queryType’ that is to contain type id (for class io.druid.query.Query)\n at [Source: HttpInputOverHTTP@577228a2; line: 1, column: 55]”
}

- I wonder if druid 0.9.2 support SQL query ?

If i send submit to broker, have another error raise:
[druid@dev-bigdata02 quickstart]$ curl -XPOST -H’Content-Type: application/json’ -d @query.json http://10.33.66.225:8082/druid/v2/sql/

Error 401

HTTP ERROR: 401

Problem accessing /druid/v2/sql/. Reason: 

    Authentication required

Hi Chu,

Druid 0.9 is way too old and has greatly evolved since then.

If you are evaluating druid, I will suggest you to try the latest druid 0.17 .

On SQL enhancement:

Druid sql support was released in Druid 0.10 and since then it has evolved incredibly.

You should read below article [ section: SQL enhancement] which briefly talks about how the druid SQL has evolved over time:

  1. Can integrated druid 0.17 witdh hdp 2.6.2

  2. Shoud using Imply.io and integrated druid from Imply.io with hdp 2.6.2

  • If we HDP builds into clusters running Imply, I have some question:

  1. Do Imply.io provide open and free ( like hortonwork is open and free)

  2. If Imply not free, would you give me information of license ?
