Druid default value formula for druid.server.http.numThreads

Hi Experts can you please explain the rationality behind this formula

druid.server.http.numThreads = Math.max(10, (no.of cores* 17) / 16 + 2) + 30

Thanks in advance!

Hi Vindhya,
there’s some explanation here https://druid.apache.org/docs/latest/operations/basic-cluster-tuning.html#connection-pool
does that answer your question?

Thanks Matt .This does helps understand better. Above link provides the logic behind number 30. If i understand it correctly considering default value of druid.broker.http.numConnections is 20 we are ensuring historical has atleast 30.
But i am still wondering on the significance of this part of the equation . (no.of cores * 17/16 ) .specifically on numbers 17/16.
