I've noticed that with my current log emitter settings on my historical nodes, that the logs are getting very big each day.
I currently have logging set to INFO and the querying against druid is capturing a lot of information in the logs.
Does anyone have a recommendation on how to tone down or reduce the number of entries in the normal logs?
One way is to setup Log4J2.xml to hold a certain number of logs or zip them up.
Thank you Hemanth. I have a log rotation of 7 days and zip procedure already. I am looking for a way to tone down the logging.
You can turn off the emitter logs(through the regular logger definition for that class in the log4j xml)… I don’t know if there is a way to tweak the cadence with which the logs are written,. Typically, for prod systems, we set log level to ERROR with proper log rotation
That makes sense Karthik. Thanks.
