Druid Ingestion Examples : Batch & Real-time

FWIW - here is a simple example of batch and real-time ingestion using Druid:

It uses a simple Druid cluster that you can spin up with vagrant:

Thanks for the example, Brian. It looks light and clean. Curious, are there any benefits other than keep Druid running when machine reboot by using Supervior over (kill pid, then restart)? I’m asking because of https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/druid-user/JzDjMR41gXg, I wonder if my way of restarting middle manager process is not good and using supervisor might help restartable indexing tasks. I saw you are using Druid 0.8.1, so I guess it’s never tested for that.

Sorry for the late reply.

Absolutely, yes. We use upstart to supervise all of our druid processes.
