Fails to use the index_parallel when compacting Druid segments

Hi Druid,

I follow the official document to compact druid segments using the json below, but get the error: {
“error”: “Could not resolve type id ‘index_parallel’ into a subtype of [simple type, class org.apache.druid.indexing.common.task.IndexTask$IndexTuningConfig]: known type ids = [index, realtime]\n at [Source: HttpInputOverHTTP@49c9385b[c=305,q=0,[0]=null,s=STREAM]; line: 12, column: 5] (through reference chain: org.apache.druid.indexing.common.task.CompactionTask[“tuningConfig”])”

}

{
“type”: “compact” ,
“dataSource”: “XXXX” ,
“interval”: “XXXX” ,
“tuningConfig” : {
“type” : “index_parallel” ,
“maxRowsPerSegment” : 5000000 ,
“maxRowsInMemory” : 25000
}
}

After I remove the “tuningConfig” block, the task successfully runs. Could you please update the official documentation and educate users to utilize index_parallel while compacting segments? My Druid version is 0.16.0.

Best,

Xuanyi
