Getting pivot to log apache username to broker request log

I want to to basic logging in the broker request logs.

As far as I can tell pivot, uses plywood to assemble queries. These queries are submitted to the broken which logs 4 fields

[sourceip] \t [someotherfield] \t [the request as a json object] \t [resulttime and response as json object]

Assuming you have a header that represents the user is there a simple way to transmit this each query?

If we begin using druid authentication will the user appear in the context object of the json?

Any other clever hacks?

Hey Edward,

The simplest way is to use the query context. It will get logged as part of the query json. Broker request logs will also include the “identity” directly if you start using Druid authentication.
