Has anyone out there used encryption to secure Druid's data segments?

I am currently thinking I can do this by 1.- storing the segments in deep storage on a HDFS encryption zone and 2.- Using LUKS encryption on the volume where the historical nodes store the local segments.

Has anyone done this? Just looking for any feedback on how seamless does this work or if there is a better approach.

Relying on the underlying file system to encrypt and secure the stream between client and server is the only way to achieve this as of today.
