How to get the built-in sql connect to a client app

Hello,

I wonder if it is possible to get my Kafka data written in druid (this part already working) and consumable as a Jdbc connector like thing so that I can connect a client app (say, sqlworkbench) and run queries.

I figured this could be done by the

http://druid.io/docs/latest/querying/sql.html

I expect to do

"Querying with JDBC

You can make Druid SQL queries using the Avatica JDBC driver. Once you’ve downloaded the Avatica client jar, add it to your classpath and use the connect string:“jdbc:avatica:remote:url=http://BROKER:8082/druid/v2/sql/avatica/”

So far I got a simple sql working.

curl -XPOST -H’Content-Type:{“query”:“SELECT myType, COUNT(*) FROM My_DS group by myType”}’

[{“myType”:“100”,“EXPR$1”:29025},{“myType”:“202”,“EXPR$1”:172181},{“myType”:“205”,“EXPR$1”:395},{“myType”:“206”,“EXPR$1”:3560775},{“myType”:“207”,“EXPR$1”:41200},{“myType”:“215”,“EXPR$1”:219}]

but order by does not work. I wonder what is the flavor of the sql is supported?

However sqlworkbench does not seem to talk to Avatica JDBC driver?

Thanks,

Joanne
