If the indexing task failed, I want to retry after fixing the issue using the taskId. Is there a way

Hi Friends,

If the indexing task failed, I want to retry after fixing the issue using the taskId. Is there a way to do it?

Mohan

task id is unique for each task or attempt.
For most of the use cases, you should not set the taskId manually in task spec and let druid assign a task id to it.

Hi Nishant,

Thanks for the reply.

I went through the code. Task Id is auto-assigned. I don’t want to set it manually. But I didn’t find Rest API to retry the failed task. We would be submitting thousands of tasks manually. Using status API i can find out the status. But in case some of the job fails how do I retry it? Should I develop a small framework to track and resubmit the fresh task? Is there retry API Already?

Any suggestion/best practice on this?

Mohan
