Indexer not writing to log file then uploads 0 byte file to S3

I installed druid 12.0.1

Indexer is creating file under /var/druid/task/intdex…/log

but it is not writing anything to it.

Later it uploads the 0 byte log file to s3.

Not sure why it is not writing to log file. Can someone help me here

My settings are as below for all the nodes

druid.extensions.loadList=[“mysql-metadata-storage”, “druid-kafka-eight”, “druid-s3-extensions”, “druid-histogram”, “druid-datasketches”, “druid-lookups-cached-global”,“druid-avro-extensions”]

druid.startup.logging.logProperties=true

druid.zk.service.host=#{CDP_DRUID_ZK_HOST}

druid.zk.paths.base=#{CDP_DRUID_ZK_PATH_BASE}

For MySQL:

druid.metadata.storage.type=mysql

druid.metadata.storage.connector.connectURI=jdbc:mysql://#{CDP_DRUID_DBHOST}:3306/druid

druid.metadata.storage.connector.user=espnautomation

druid.metadata.storage.connector.password=#{CDP_DRUID_DB_PW}

Hey Mohanraj,

Do you, perhaps, have a log4j config that routes logs to a file? Druid’s task log collection mechanism depends on tasks logging to stdout. (If this is your case, you might want to use druid.indexer.runner.javaOpts to specify a stdout-based log4j config for the task JVMs.)

Thanks. It worked. I added

to the logger

Thanks
