I’m using druid 0.8.3. I’m issuing a “kill” task to delete unused segments from deep storage (local FS). The files for the segments do get deleted but the directories do not. Is this expected behavior? For example, before executing the kill task, directory localStorage/dataSource/2015-06-09T00:00:00.000Z_2015-06-10T00:00:00.000Z/2016-06-01T09:40:28.627Z/ contained a directory named “0” which in turn contained files “index.zip” and “descriptor.json”. After successful execution of kill task, the directory “0” has been deleted along with its contents, but its parent directory remains.
Looks like this was fixed in 0.9.0.
Thanks for the info Andre. I’ll check this on 0.9.0.
