Stop druid lookups from running on peon

We have a number of globally cached lookups on our druid cluster. When using the native batch indexer, the peon loads all of these lookups before starting the task. This adds a couple of minutes to each task which would otherwise be very quick. If I understand it correctly the peon doesn’t need these lookups while ingesting data. Anyway to stop it from happening?

Hi Steve,

You can add this to your middle manager config :

druid.lookup.enableLookupSyncOnStartup=false

Hope this helps,

Surekha

Ha. It was staring me in the face. Thank you Surekha!
