Time Sensitive - Index Task Error

Running druid version 9.0. Submitting index task to overlord and getting error response which does not help me understand what is wrong.

Need to batch load some data as soon as possible so quick help is appreciated.

Error: Error code:400 message:{“error”:“Instantiation of [simple type, class io.druid.indexing.common.task.IndexTask] value failed: null”}

I’ve also tried the format documented here but not clear what version that is for (assumed that was likely version 10?). http://druid.io/docs/latest/ingestion/tasks.html

Is there a trick to debugging this?

Hi Doron, the error message means druid cannot understand your ingestion spec.

Here is the document for 0.9.0. http://druid.io/docs/0.9.0/ingestion/tasks.html
An ingestion spec requires dataSchema and ioConfig. You need to set them properly.
