TIMEZONE used while storing and Querying druid data

Hi,

What would be the timezone that druid uses to store data and display results for query ?

If the timestamp value for the data inserted into druid is in EST would druid automatically convert the timestamp value to GMT ? Also if we query druid using EST values would druid assume the values as GMT ?

Thanks,

Naveen

By default, it’s UTC. At query time, you can change it in SQL using the timeZone connection context parameter and in native queries via the “timeZone” parameter that is available in various time-related features (like “granularity” and so on). At ingest time, if you’re doing iso8601 literals, you can include it by appending something like “-08:00” to the string.
