What kind of data format does it fit for Druid?

Hi all, I am new to Druid and curious about the data format fitting for Druid. The white paper has it that

Druid was originally designed to solve problems around ingesting and exploring large quantities of transactional events (log data) .

This form of timeseries data is commonly found in OLAP workflow and the nature of the data tend to be very append heavy

And I wonder beside this kind of timeseries log data, whether Druid supports other kind of data format? For instance key-value type data as HBase supports.

Druid is designed to do fast aggregates with ad-hoc filters over event data. It’s not really suited for key-value type workloads, since it doesn’t offer get-by-key or update-by-key operations.
